Sonix Medical Devices, Inc. is a USA based life sciences company that is developing innovative healthcare solutions and treatments in the areas of highly unmet medical needs by bridging the gap between disruptive products and real-world patient access. Our philosophy is to build a company that brings a positive change in the world with our core healthcare technologies. To us it is about stopping a global healthcare disaster by forging a path forward to bring creative solutions to end Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). By preventing bacterial infections we can save millions of lives, and by doing so we will achieve financial goals for our investors and our company.

Our Team

Vipula Tailor, MS, MBA, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Vipula Tailor is a seasoned leader and a successful entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry with over 20 years of international business development, licensing, R&D, and commercialization experience in the healthcare industry that includes two exits from companies she founded. Ms. Tailor has led strategic and organic growth portfolios of products and companies while closing over $500MM in deals. She led acquisitions and mergers for Fortune 100 medical devices companies including leadership roles at Pfizer (Wyeth), GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark and Vertex.
Ms. Tailor is a microbiologist and a medical immunologist by training and holds an MBA in healthcare. She was a Tata scholar and was awarded the Robert White Fellowship by the Society of Immunology UK. She was the winner of 2017 Venture Forum Annual Contest, recipient of 2018 International Life Sciences Award for Best Pharmaceutical Technology Provider and Most Inspirational Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur, 2020 finalist of SXSW and 2020 Emerging Medical Innovation Leader, 2021 Deep Tech Pioneer and was recognized as Best Infection Control Solution Provider in the industry in 2021. She has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals and presented at many national and international conferences as the Keynote Speaker. Ms. Tailor has lived and worked in India, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil and currently lives in the USA.

Mark Schafer, Phd, Chief Technical Officer
Mark Schafer is a leading ultrasound industry expert. He holds 25 patents and has served in senior management roles for many early stage companies developing innovative ultrasonic devices. Mark was most recently the CTO of Sound Surgical Technologies, a successful cosmetic ultrasound company. He earned a BSEE from MIT, an MS in Acoustics from Penn State and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University.

Aditee Dalvi, MD, MBA, Head of R&D
Accomplished biopharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in development of diagnostics and assay design. Aditee developed and managed CLIA labs and identified and validated clinical biomarkers, developed companion diagnostics, and other diagnostic assay based on OMICS. She was head of Diagnostics and CLIA laboratories in her previous role and experienced in identifying variants linked to diseases. Aditee holds a MD degree from India and MBA from Boston College.

Denis Grimard, M.Eng, Head of Finance & Operations
A highly experienced medical device executive with 30 plus years of proven experience with early stage start-ups to large multi-nationals in the medical device industry, with core experience in manufacturing and commercialization of products. Denis redefined the supply-chain management optimization and has contributed significantly to product development and has expansive understanding of product, process and materials. Held several leadership roles at Kimberly-Clark, and lived and worked in China, Canada and USA.
